How do I lower my Sporty?
I have a '98 Sportster 1200. I would like to know if there is any real way to lower my Sporty with out spending $300.00 buying shorter shocks or a lowering kit. If this is my best option, can anyone suggest a quality kit to look for?
The purpose of the lowering kit and shorter shocks is to lower the bike without sacrificing travel.
Travel = handling and comfort.
I believe if you are not willing to do it right, why bother?

Expect to spend $400.00 or so for shocks ( I suggest street trackers) and a lowering kit.
You will end up with your bike lowered, and handling better than it does now.
