New scooter a little too tall?
I just got back from my motorcycle endorsement class where we rode 250cc cruisers. Before I took the class I bought a 2005 Yahama Majesty 400cc scooter. I stupidly didn't really try it out besides a test ride (didn't know how to ride before getting it). Its not HUGE, its just a LITTLE too tall. With just a slight adjust i can plant one foot fully and have the other up on toes. Is the bike too big for me? should I consider getting a different one or is a little bit of extra height not a big deal? Thanks
Sounds like the height is ok for you as long as you can hold it up and feel comfortable with it. If you need just a small adjustment a local upholstry shop may be able to cut the seat down some and lower it enough for you to plant your feet better. Also there may be some suspension modifications available in the aftermarket arena that would lower it some. Aftermarket shocks possibly. If you haven't already, check out this forum and see if they have any other solutions for you. http://majestyusa.com/forums/index.php
