What are the effects of an instant center located at an infinite distance from the chasis centerline?

specifically, when a macpherson strut is at such an angle to create such a case relative to a lower control arm. theory says the roll center will be located on the ground plane, but I want to know how that will affect the way the car handles...this is pertaining to an Subaru used for Autocross.

in autocross grip is essential to keeping on line.lowering the roll center only helps to a point before you loose adhesion from the tires.also by increasing the angle of the struts will effect your steering and cause bind.a mcphereson strut is not only a damper but is a pivot for the steering..your best bet would be to add a strut bar and increasing the sway bar diameter.this will do more for the handling than relocating the strut angle..
