what should i get to make the aftermarket grips fit on my crf250r?

i bought pro taper pillow top grips for my 2006 crf250r and the one for the throttle will not go on completly because on the throttle tube the is a part sticking up on the wont let it go all the way on. is there some kind of bar ends or bar extension to fix this?

You don't need to modify or buy anything. Loosen the throttle housing from the bar. Move it to the right until the throttle tube extends past the end of the bar. Re-tighten the throttle to the bar. At this point you have several alternatives on how to get the grip on.

1) Try to put the grip on dry by force, etc..., with the chance that the grip might twist on the throttle tube later.
2) Use lube to ease the grip onto the throttle tube, with the chance that the grip might twist on the throttle tube later.
3) Use an adhesive* for lube then let it dry and the grip will not twist later, but to remove the grip you will have cut the grip off.

After the grip is on the throttle tube, loosen the housing and move it to the left until the end of the bar comes in contact with grip. Back off the housing to the right until there is clearance between the grip and the bar end and tighten throttle housing.

* I use clear coat spray paint for an adhesive.
