Question about hospital bills?

I spent a night in the hospital this past weekend due to an accidental prescription overdose. They ruled out any sort of mental problems and chemical dependency problems with me. I was wondering How much the bills will be for me, I am covered under health insurance with blue cross and blue shield of minnesota. During my 12 hour stay (or so) I was given a saline solution, a urine test which was negative for illegal drugs, blood was drawn from me. I was placed on an EKG. I was given a ride home in a taxi (which the hospital paid for) and had a breakfast. The questions i'm wondering are:
1. How much do you think it will cost?
2. When a hospital bill comes in the mail, will it be from the hospital or will it say "Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance" on the envelope?

-also how long does it take a hospital bill to arrive?

This all depends on your insurance coverage. It should cover what you had done at the hospital. Do you have a deductible? Or co-insurance? (where you pay a percentage and the insurance pays a percentage). If so, you will have to pay this. It usually takes a while. The hospital will bill the insurance company, the insurance company will then issue payment to the hospital, then whatever is not covered will be billed to you. It will come from the hospital and it can take anywhere for a week to over a month to receive a bill. it depends on how fast the hospital bills and how fast the insurance company submits payment.
