For My Very First Question, I Would Like To Know...???
What's the deal with the classic image of the Frankenstein Monster??? Does anyone know what the deal is, with the flat top?? I would think that once the brain was replaced/inserted, the good doctor would clamp down the original skullcap, and that couldn't have gotten flat, from the time is was cut from the head, until time that the brain is re-sealed up, in the head!!!
This is the type of stuff that keeps me up at night!!!
...although over the years, there have been offered many speculative scientific and surgical-based conclusions, as to why master make-up artist Jack Pierce decided upon this particular image, the plain truth of the fact is, it remains a mystery to this day, as to why this was done. Any notes or conceptual drawings, which were left behind when Jack Pierce passed away, gave no clue to this mystery, and in the end, it looks like he took that secret quite literally to the grave...
