1996 BMW 328i Sedan cup holders too small?
I just bought a 1996 BMW 328i Sedan and the cup holders are too small, They wont even hold a soft drink can. Where can I get a replacement cup holder that fits todays drink sizes.
Cupholders are not part of a BMW's strong points in general.
The newer models have fairly decent-sized cupholders (but still would not accomodate a medium or large softdrink cup from McDonalds).
Older models like yours have smaller cupholders (specially if yours is the type that inserts into the center console, and not the type that is simply a hole in the console box).
To upgrade yours you would just have to buy an aftermarket add-on.
I can not forget what german engineers used to say years ago in response to american complaints about the cupholders. They said that in Germany drivers enjoyed the drive and not the coffee.
